Adventure World

Adventure World was a casual, exploration-based Facebook game and the first title out of Zynga’s Boston office—an external studio formed after Conduit Labs (myself included) was acquired in 2010.

The game combined classic Zynga elements like decorating, resource farming, and avatar customization with something new for the platform at the time: expansive maps, Zelda-style puzzles, and light RPG mechanics. Within weeks of launch, it hit over 40 million monthly active users.

I was primarily responsible for the game’s UI—designing icons, buttons, and popups—as well as contributing logos, characters, marketing assets, and the occasional background element. Objects in the game world here were primarily done by the talented Ericka Henderson.
